I work as a live translator, so if my internet or PC cuts out for even 10 seconds, I basically lose the client. The grid in my area is terrible this summer. I finally solved my anxiety, but not before I embarrassed myself on a Zoom call last week when the power cut and I literally screamed.
Now I just run my entire workstation through a backup battery 24/7. It acts like a UPS. The lights can flicker all they want, my router doesn't even blink. If you work live roles, stop trusting the wall outlet. Just get a battery buffer. It’s cheaper than losing a contract.
